    AP Bio-Nature of Science Evolution- project on different ways to work with data
    New laptops- thumbs up.
    Astronomy class "having a blast" using a Wolfe's room in an inquiry activity using dry erase globes and a light source.
    Environmental Engineering- maglev challenge, daily accountability is a challenge.
  1. Debrief Back-to-School Nights
    1. Can we help parents understand the sequence of courses better?
    2. Any other important pieces of info to pass on during this evening?
Criteria for approval to restricted classes- limitations (# of classes, seats available). What happens when physics was not taken in the 9th grade? Put classes, course sequence in the Loyola website in Academics. Create a form available in back to school night for takeaways. Science brochure in the acceptance letter, video presence online (as per Gerry).

    1. Ken Shelton, Randy Bell, Ken Wesson, Dr. Jakowic Rick is willing to pay. AP focus. Eisenkraft- top three prioritize- Wesson, Eisenkraft, Get Wesson...

    1. We’re getting closer….
    2. Two IPP Lesson Plans should already be completed
    3. Have two more completed by Christmas Break (12/21/12)
    4. Total of six lesson plans (one for each G @ G) (w/ Student Examples)
    5. Folders should be on display March 1, 2013
Get them done! Workshops on how to do the folios.

    1. Full update is complete (excluding the Science Department Mission Statement) Revision of science dept mission statement- the statement should be put in the syllabi
    2. Have your handbook in your classroom

  1. Formal Observations
    1. October 15 – November 9, 2012
    2. Sign up in BioHaz (Per 1 & Per 2)
    3. Pre-observation meetings will occur on the morning of the observed lesson
