Our dept. is by far the most detailed when compared to other departments.Amend: Question #4-Change in current curriculum- change in AP Bio, AP Physics B, AP Chem. Statement: "Senior year better prepared"...we can add specific FCI scores and AP scores, CST DATA! Do we incorporate standards etc...but we need to NOT go overboard on detail, etc. Include National and State Standards as a guide in Biology.
  • Continue collecting evidence- IPP format
  • 18 pieces of evidence total for each-could be from lesson plans to student work to your syllabus. Get as many as you can...
  • Any feedback mechanism for Karen Jardine-WASC guru? from Kwan

  • VII. Seven Period Schedule
    1. a. Modified block (one of five plans being proposed on Sept 28)
    2. b. Is there a schedule that serves our students and the Science Dept better?
  • Notes:
  • Modified block 7 period schedule handout- with input from Theology department...
  • Main goal of schedule change is that we need to have 8 semesters of Theology- for us we maybe have to follow the mandate from Archdiocese
  • Science Proposal- one of four schedules- ours is rotating...1 is rotating with adding 55 minutes, 2- collegiate model, 3- didn't catch it...
  • Sci Proposal- Mondays 45 minutes, we see all of our students, Tuesdays- Homeroom piggybacked on with lunch (like Sched. 7), Wed- Faculty collaboration day or Mass time, Thurs. and Fri. 80 minute classes. Period 7 is always at the end of the day...relegated for electives, some required-some not. Each class meets for 200 minutes per week. Right now average is 213 minutes per week. 4 day week you drop Monday. Every day the schedule is the same...rotation is possible but on a weekly basis instead of a daily basis. Athletics on Period 7...all kids have to be scheduled in a period 7 class. All students have to make a choice as to what they want to take...
